Spotify’s Smart Reorder treats your playlists like a DJ set

Overview

Spotify’s Mix feature now includes a Smart Reorder option that can automatically sort playlists based on beats per minute (BPM) and musical key, arranging songs for the best flow from one track to the next. This builds on the existing Mix feature and the transitions between songs introduced in August, giving users an automated DJ‑like experience.

How to Use

1. Open a playlist in the Spotify app (Premium subscription required).
2. Tap the Mix button, then select Edit.
3. Tap the Smart Reorder button to let Spotify rearrange the tracks.

Availability

The Smart Reorder option was announced on Wednesday and is available now for Premium subscribers.
