How to find the charts

The charts are available to both free and paid users within the audiobooks hub:

  1. Tap the search button in the app.
  2. Select the Audiobooks tile to enter the hub.
  3. Scroll down to the Dive deeper section to view the charts.

Recent audiobook features

Since officially supporting audiobooks in 2022, Spotify has added several features:

  • Page Match – Scan a page from a physical book to jump to the corresponding spot in the audiobook. More details can be found in the TechCrunch article.
  • Audiobook Recaps – Short audio summaries that help listeners catch up on what they’ve already heard.

Benefits for listeners and creators

Spotify says the new charts will give listeners a trusted way to discover popular titles and create new opportunities for authors and the publishing industry to reach wider audiences.

“As we’ve proven with Music and Podcasts Charts, when content is easier to access, discover, and enjoy, the demand grows,” said Duncan Bruce, Spotify’s Director of Audiobook Partnerships and Licensing, in a blog post. “We are delighted to now bring that to audiobooks, to help provide even more ways for users, publishers, and authors to discover what’s trending on Spotify, and make books more connected with culture in real time.”

Physical book sales

Spotify is also expanding into physical book sales. Users in the U.S. and U.K. will soon be able to purchase physical copies of books directly within the app through a partnership with Bookshop.org. See the announcement on TechCrunch.
