Update February 12 2026 – The 4G LTE model of the Eero Signal is now available via Amazon for $99link. The 5G version is still to come.

Overview

Eero has announced a new Eero Signal product that it says will let you “say goodbye to internet outages.” The device provides cellular backup whenever your wired internet connection goes down and is offered in both 4G LTE and 5G RedCap versions details.

How It Works

  • The Eero Signal can be connected to any USB‑C powered Eero on a network that supports Wi‑Fi 6 or newer.
  • It contains a built‑in eSIM that automatically connects to a local cellular network when an outage is detected.
  • Once connected, the cellular link supplies backup connectivity to keep the entire network online.

Eero Plus Subscription

To use the built‑in cellular connectivity, an annual Eero Plus subscription is required:

PlanPrice (per year)Data allowance
Eero Plus (base)$99.9910 GB of cellular data per year
Eero Plus 100$199.99Up to 100 GB of backup data per month

Additional features are included with Eero Plus — see the official page for more information here.

Availability and Pricing

  • Eero Signal 4G LTE – Expected in the United States “early next year” for $99.99link.
  • Eero Signal 5G RedCap – Planned for release in 2026 at $199.99link.

Considerations

While the device offers a convenient, always‑on backup solution, many users already have hotspot capabilities on their smartphones. Whether Eero Signal provides enough value will depend on individual needs and how often a reliable backup connection is required.
