산업 AX(AI Transformation) 기업 세이지(SAIGE·공동대표 박종우, 홍영석)가 과학기술정보통신부가 주관하는 ‘글로벌 ICT 미래 유니콘 육성사업(ICT GROWTH)’ 선정 기업에 이름을 올리며 글로벌 시장 공략에 속도를 낸다. 세이지는 지난 10일 서울 중구 롯데호텔에서 열린 인증서 수여식에서 공식 인증서를 받고 미래 유니콘 기업으로의 성장 가능성을 인정받았다.

글로벌 ICT 미래 유니콘 육성사업은 해외 진출 가능성이 높은 디지털 기업을 발굴해 글로벌 액셀러레이팅, 투자유치, 보증 지원 등을 제공하는 정부 대표 육성 프로그램이다. 정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA)이 사업을 수행하며, AI·AX를 포함한 ICT 융복합 분야 기업 가운데 높은 성장성과 기술력을 갖춘 기업을 선발한다.

올해는 총 49개 기업이 지원해 15개사가 최종 선정됐다. 세이지는 비전 AI 기반 제조 자동화 솔루션과 자율 제조 Agentic AI 기술력을 인정받아 선정 명단에 포함됐다.

제조 AI 강자로 입지 강화

세이지는 제조 현장의 품질 검사와 공정 자동화 분야에서 경쟁력을 확보해 왔다. 삼성SDI와 LG에너지솔루션 등 국내 주요 제조기업에 솔루션을 공급하며 실제 산업 현장에서 기술력을 검증받았다.

회사는 최근 제조업 전반에서 AI 전환 수요가 확대되는 가운데 비전 AI와 제조 데이터 기반 자율 제조 기술을 고도화하며 글로벌 시장 진출을 준비하고 있다. 이번 선정으로 해외 현지 액셀러레이팅 프로그램 참여, 글로벌 투자유치 연계, 신용보증 지원 등 다양한 정부 지원을 받을 수 있게 됐다.

홍영석 세이지 대표는 “이번 ICT GROWTH 선정은 세이지의 비전 AI 기술력과 글로벌 성장 잠재력을 정부가 인정한 의미 있는 성과”라며 “제조 현장의 AI 전환을 선도하는 글로벌 기업으로 도약하는 계기로 삼겠다”고 말했다.

세이지는 중소벤처기업부의 ‘초격차 스타트업 1000+’ 프로젝트와 산업통상자원부의 ‘산업융합 혁신품목’에도 선정되며 제조 특화 AI 기업으로 입지를 넓혀가고 있다. 업계에서는 생성형 AI를 넘어 실제 산업 현장의 생산성과 품질을 높이는 산업 AI와 Agentic AI 시장이 빠르게 성장하고 있는 만큼, 제조 데이터와 현장 적용 경험을 보유한 기업들의 경쟁력이 더욱 중요해질 것으로 보고 있다.

세이지는 이번 정부 지원을 발판으로 글로벌 제조기업 대상 사업 확대와 해외 파트너십 구축에 집중하며 제조 AI 분야 대표 기업으로 성장한다는 계획이다.

SAIGE (Co-CEOs Park Jong-woo and Hong Young-seok), an industrial AI Transformation (AX) company, is accelerating its expansion into the global market after being selected for the ‘Global ICT Future Unicorn Nurturing Project (ICT GROWTH)’ organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT. SAIGE received an official certificate at a ceremony held at the Lotte Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 10th, acknowledging its potential to grow into a future unicorn company.

The Global ICT Future Unicorn Incubation Project is a representative government incubation program that identifies digital companies with high potential for overseas expansion and provides them with global acceleration, investment attraction, and guarantee support. The National Information & Communication Technology Promotion Agency (NIPA) carries out the project and selects companies with high growth potential and technological capabilities from among ICT convergence fields, including AI and AX.

A total of 49 companies applied this year, and 15 were finally selected. Sage was included in the selection list in recognition of its vision AI-based manufacturing automation solutions and autonomous manufacturing Agentic AI technology.

Strengthening its position as a leader in manufacturing AI

Sage has secured a competitive edge in the fields of quality inspection and process automation for manufacturing sites. By supplying solutions to major domestic manufacturing companies such as Samsung SDI and LG Energy Solution, the company has proven its technological capabilities in actual industrial settings.

Amid the recent expansion of demand for AI transformation across the manufacturing sector, the company is preparing to enter the global market by advancing its vision AI and manufacturing data-based autonomous manufacturing technologies. With this selection, the company will be able to receive various government support, including participation in overseas local acceleration programs, connections to global investment, and credit guarantee assistance.

グローバルICT未来ユニコーン育成事業は海外進出の可能性が高いデジタル企業を発掘し、グローバルアクセラレーティング、投資誘致、保証支援などを提供する政府代表育成プログラムだ。情報通信産業振興院（NIPA）が事業を遂行し、AI・AXを含むICT融合分野の企業の中で高い成長性と技術力を備えた企業を選抜する。

製造AI強者で立地強化

セージは製造現場の品質検査とプロセス自動化分野で競争力を確保してきた。サムスンSDIとLGエネルギーソリューションなど国内主要製造企業にソリューションを供給し、実際の産業現場で技術力を検証された。

同社は最近、製造業全般でAI転換需要が拡大する中、ビジョンAIと製造データベースの自律製造技術を高度化し、グローバル市場進出を準備している。今回の選定で海外現地アクセラレーティングプログラム参加、グローバル投資誘致連携、信用保証支援など多様な政府支援を受けることができるようになった。

L’Agence nationale de promotion des technologies de l’information et de la communication (NIPA) met en œuvre ce projet et sélectionne les entreprises présentant un fort potentiel de croissance et des capacités technologiques pointues dans les domaines de la convergence des TIC, notamment l’IA et l’AX.

Cette année, 49 entreprises ont déposé leur candidature, et 15 ont finalement été retenues. Sage figure parmi les sélectionnées grâce à sa vision des solutions d’automatisation de la production basées sur l’IA et à sa technologie d’IA agentique pour la fabrication autonome.

Renforçant sa position de leader dans le domaine de l’IA manufacturière

Sage s’est forgé un avantage concurrentiel dans les domaines du contrôle qualité et de l’automatisation des processus pour les sites de production. En fournissant des solutions à de grandes entreprises manufacturières nationales telles que Samsung SDI et LG Energy Solutions, la société a démontré ses compétences technologiques en situation réelle d’exploitation industrielle.

Sage renforce sa position d’entreprise spécialisée dans l’IA pour le secteur manufacturier, après avoir été sélectionnée pour le projet « Super-Gap Startup 1000+ » du ministère des PME et des Startups et pour le programme « Industrial Convergence Innovation Item » du ministère du Commerce, de l’Industrie et de l’Énergie. Le secteur anticipe qu’avec la croissance rapide du marché de l’IA industrielle et de l’IA agentique (qui vont au-delà de l’IA générative pour améliorer la productivité et la qualité dans des contextes industriels réels), la compétitivité des entreprises possédant des données de production et une expérience d’application sur le terrain deviendra de plus en plus importante.

S’appuyant sur ce soutien gouvernemental, Sage prévoit de devenir une entreprise leader dans le secteur de l’IA manufacturière en se concentrant sur le développement de ses activités auprès des entreprises manufacturières mondiales et sur la mise en place de partenariats à l’étranger.
