Google now lets you scrub more sensitive personal info about yourself from Search
Source: Android Authority

TL;DR
- Google now lets you remove more personal information from Search results.
- You can check and delete results that contain your passport, Social Security, or driver’s license numbers.
- Google also makes it easier to flag and remove non‑consensual explicit images.
New personal‑info removal tools
Google is giving you more control over search results that contain your personal data. In addition to email addresses and phone numbers, you can now find and remove results that include government‑issued IDs such as driver’s licenses, passports, and Social Security numbers directly from the Results About You hub.
How to set it up
- Open the Results About You hub and click “Get started.”
- Add the personal contact information you want to monitor (e.g., driver’s license number, passport number, Social Security number).
- Google will scan the web for matches and send alerts via email or the Google app (whichever you selected).
Removing the results
- After you receive an alert, you can remove the offending result from the hub.
- Note: Removing the result from Google Search does not delete the content from the original website. The information may still be accessible by visiting the page directly or using another search engine.
Google says the feature will initially roll out in the United States over the coming days, with plans to expand to additional regions. The company notes that over 10 million people have already used the hub, and it employs advanced security protocols and encryption to protect the data you provide.
Removing explicit images from Google Search
Google is also simplifying the process for removing non‑consensual explicit images of you from its image search results.
How to request removal
- Locate the image in Google Search.
- Click the three‑dot menu next to the image and select “Remove result” → “It shows a sexual image of me.”
- You can submit removal requests for multiple images at once using a single form.
Additional safeguards
- You can opt‑in to have Google proactively filter out future explicit results that might appear in similar searches.
- After submitting a request, Google provides links to expert organizations that offer emotional and legal support.
- All of your removal requests and their statuses are viewable in the Results About You hub.
