립스·팁스·벤처스튜디오 연계 성장 지원

‘2026 더인벤션랩 벤처스케일업 프로그램’은 총 3개 트랙으로 운영된다.

라이콘 트랙(LICORNS Track)은 립스(LIPS) 기반 성장을 준비하는 라이프스타일 및 로컬 브랜드 기업을 대상으로 하며, 드래곤 트랙(DRAGONS Track)은 팁스(TIPS) 연계를 통해 AI, 반도체, 바이오 등 기술 기반 스타트업의 기술 고도화를 지원한다.

벤처스튜디오 트랙(Venture Studio Track)은 예비 창업자와 초기 창업팀을 대상으로 법인 설립부터 초기 투자, 정책자금 연계, 사업 전략 수립, 엑시트(EXIT) 전략까지 전 과정을 함께 설계하는 프로그램이다. 선발 기업에는 직접 투자와 SaaS 인프라 현물 지원, 투자기관 네트워크 기반 후속 투자 연계, AI 기반 성장 관리 시스템, 분야별 전문 자문단 지원 등이 제공된다.

지원은 더인벤션랩 공식 홈페이지 내 ‘투자 제안 요청’ 메뉴를 통해 가능하며, 희망 트랙을 선택해 신청하면 접수 순으로 검토가 진행된다. 서류 심사를 통과한 기업에는 개별 안내가 제공된다.

더인벤션랩은 투자와 액셀러레이팅 성과도 이어가고 있다. 회사는 지난해 총 53건, 약 80억7천만 원 규모의 신규 및 후속 투자를 집행했다. 또한 28개 포트폴리오 기업이 외부 후속 투자로 약 342억 원을 추가 유치했으며, 팁스 18개사와 립스 22개사를 추천·연계해 약 150억 원 규모의 정책자금 확보를 지원했다.

최근에는 벤처스튜디오 모델 확대에도 집중하고 있다. 초기 사업 기획 단계부터 공동 사업 설계, 법인 설립, 브랜드 전략 수립, 시장 진입까지 함께 수행하는 방식으로 소비재와 라이프스타일 분야를 중심으로 직접 개발·론칭 모델을 강화하고 있다. 향후 동남아 시장을 포함한 글로벌 확장 모델도 본격 추진할 계획이다.

The Invention Lab (CEO Kim Jin-young), an early-stage investment firm and specialized venture studio, announced the official launch of the ‘2026 The Invention Lab Venture Scale-up Program’ and stated that it is accepting applications on an ongoing basis from promising startups and prospective entrepreneurial teams. This program operates based on a system of customized investment and scale-up tailored to each growth stage and targets a wide range of entrepreneurial entities, from technology innovation companies and lifestyle brands to aspiring founders.

Through this program, The Invention Lab plans to establish an integrated growth pipeline connecting investment, government funding, and global expansion, and to identify companies with high growth potential at an early stage.

The ‘2026 The Invention Lab Venture Scale-up Program’ will be operated in a total of three tracks.

The LICORNS Track targets lifestyle and local brand companies preparing for growth based on LIPS, while the DRAGONS Track supports the technological advancement of technology-based startups in fields such as AI, semiconductors, and bio through TIPS linkage.

The Venture Studio Track is a program designed for aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startup teams to collaboratively design the entire process, from company incorporation and initial investment to connecting with government funding, establishing business strategies, and developing exit strategies. Selected companies are provided with direct investment, in-kind support for SaaS infrastructure, connections to follow-up investments based on an investment institution network, an AI-based growth management system, and support from expert advisory teams in various fields.

Applications can be submitted through the ‘Investment Proposal Request’ menu on The Invention Lab’s official website. Applicants must select their desired track, and reviews will be conducted in the order of receipt. Companies that pass the document screening will be notified individually.

The Invention Lab is also continuing to achieve results in investment and acceleration. Last year, the company executed a total of 53 new and follow-on investments worth approximately 8.07 billion won. In addition, 28 portfolio companies attracted an additional 34.2 billion won in external follow-on investments, and the company supported the securing of approximately 15 billion won in government funding by recommending and connecting 18 TIPS companies and 22 LIPS companies.

Recently, the company has also been focusing on expanding its venture studio model. It is strengthening its direct development and launch model, primarily in the consumer goods and lifestyle sectors, by jointly executing tasks ranging from the initial business planning stage to joint business design, incorporation, brand strategy formulation, and market entry. In the future, the company plans to actively pursue a global expansion model that includes the Southeast Asian market.
