Union Biometrics, a biometrics specialist, announced on the 19th that it is expanding its participation in AI data center businesses in North America and Europe and is targeting the global data center security market.

유니온바이오메트릭스(생체인식 전문 기업)는 19일 북미와 유럽 AI 데이터센터 사업 참여 확대를 발표했으며, 글로벌 데이터센터 보안 시장을 공략한다고 밝혔다.

The company has been supplying face and fingerprint recognition-based access control systems to major domestic data centers and telecommunications infrastructures, and recently, it is expanding its business into the overseas AI infrastructure market.

이 기업은 국내 주요 데이터센터와 통신 인프라에 얼굴·지문 인식 기반 출입통제 시스템을 공급해 왔으며, 최근에는 해외 AI 인프라 시장에 사업 영역을 확대하고 있다.

프랑스 이어 미국 AI 데이터센터 진출 확대

Union Biometrics is currently conducting a data center project in Europe in collaboration with Data One, a French data center specialist.

유니온바이오메트릭스는 프랑스의 데이터센터 전문 기업인 Data One과 협력해 유럽 지역에서 데이터센터 프로젝트를 진행 중이다.

The company is securing global references by supplying a biometric-based integrated security platform that provides data center access control, user authentication, and secure zone access management functions. In particular, it is reported to be expanding opportunities to participate in follow-up projects, starting with supply to the French region.

해당 기업은 데이터센터 출입 관리·사용자 인증·보안 구역 접근 관리 기능을 제공하는 생체인식 기반 통합 보안 플랫폼을 공급함으로써 글로벌 레퍼런스를 확보하고 있다. 특히 프랑스 지역 공급을 시작으로 후속 프로젝트 참여 기회도 확대되고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.

Entry into the North American market is also gaining momentum. The company is pursuing the supply of biometric access control solutions in line with DataOne’s U.S. AI data center expansion project, and the solution is scheduled to be applied to new data center construction projects in New Jersey and Indiana in the second half of the year.

북미 시장 진출도 본격화되고 있다. 유니온바이오메트릭스는 Data One의 미국 AI 데이터센터 확장 사업에 맞춰 생체인식 출입통제 솔루션 공급을 추진 중이며, 하반기에는 뉴저지주와 인디애나주의 신규 데이터센터 구축 프로젝트에 솔루션을 적용할 예정이다.

Recently, as the competition to build massive AI data centers of hundreds of megawatts intensifies, centered around the United States, the importance of access control and user authentication systems within these data centers is also growing.

최근 미국을 중심으로 수백 MW급 초대형 AI 데이터센터 건립 경쟁이 치열해지면서, 이러한 데이터센터 내 접근통제와 사용자 인증 체계의 중요성도 함께 커지고 있다.

As AI infrastructure is classified as a core national asset and a large-scale computing facility, it requires a higher level of security than traditional card access methods. Accordingly, biometric technologies based on facial and fingerprint recognition are garnering attention as a key element of data center security.

AI 인프라는 국가 핵심 자산이자 대규모 연산 시설로 분류되기 때문에 기존 카드 출입 방식보다 더 높은 수준의 보안 체계가 요구된다. 따라서 얼굴·지문 인식 기반 생체인식 기술이 데이터센터 보안의 핵심 요소로 주목받고 있다.

Union Biometrics plans to expand its business into high-reliability security markets, including not only data centers but also telecommunications facilities and critical national infrastructure, based on facial and fingerprint recognition technologies, mobile access authentication, and an integrated access management platform.

유니온바이오메트릭스는 얼굴·지문 인식 기술과 모바일 출입 인증, 통합 출입 관리 플랫폼을 기반으로 데이터센터 외에도 통신시설 및 국가 중요한 시설 등 고신뢰 보안 시장에 사업을 확대할 계획이다.

“A company official stated, ‘The AI infrastructure market is growing rapidly alongside large-scale global investments,’ adding, ‘Based on our experience in building domestic data centers and our biometric technology, we will continue to strengthen our competitiveness in the global AI infrastructure security market, including North America and Europe.’”
