Your Pixel might soon show you what to order at your favorite restaurant

Overview

Pixel devices have two implementations of At a Glance – a generic version on all Android flagships and a Pixel‑specific version. The Pixel‑specific widget was refreshed last month to include sports scores, finance data, and commute information (Android Authority March 2026 Pixel drop). Recent analysis of Android System Intelligence vB.23.885134531 reveals code for two upcoming features: Passes Nearby and Restaurant Insights.

Passes Nearby

The Passes Nearby feature would let users quickly access relevant Google Wallet passes (e.g., tickets, boarding passes) based on their current location. This builds on the functionality announced last year (Google Wallet Nearby Passes notification).

It is still unclear whether the feature will require users to enable the “Get notification for this event ticket” option on a per‑pass basis.

Restaurant Insights

Restaurant Insights aims to display suggested menu items and other dining‑related information directly in the At a Glance widget, again using the user’s location to tailor recommendations.

Current Status

Google has not officially announced either feature. The toggles for both can be enabled in the system, but the actual functionality does not yet work in our testing environment.
