Overview

HyperMegaTech!’s latest release is a collaboration with Rare Ltd., the legendary developer behind the Banjo‑Kazooie franchise and, more recently, Sea of Thieves (link). The device, called the Super Pocket Rare Edition, will launch in June 2026.

Game Library

The vertical handheld ships with 14 classic Rare titles, including two Battletoads games, Conker’s Pocket Tales, and many others. While most of the games originally appeared on 8‑ or 16‑bit consoles, Banjo‑Kazooie—originally a Nintendo 64 title—will be the headline offering. HyperMegaTech! notes that the game has been enhanced and optimized for the Super Pocket’s D‑pad controls.

Compatibility

Because HyperMegaTech! and Evercade share Blaze Entertainment as a parent company, the Rare Edition is compatible with Evercade cartridges. After playing the included 14 games, users can expand the library with cartridges featuring collections from Taito, NeoGeo, Atari, and more.

Pricing and Availability
