This is Ferraris first electric car

Design and Styling
The Luce was co‑designed by Sir Jony Ive and industrial designer Marc Newson, the two heads of the LoveFrom creative collective.

Unlike typical Ferraris, the Luce features rounded corners, soft edges, and pastel colours. The massive yellow brake calipers and the iconic Ferrari badge are the only aggressive cues. Ferrari claims it has “by far” the lowest drag coefficient in the brand’s history, yet the car is unusually tall—somewhere between an SUV and a sedan.

Inside, the cabin continues the theme of rounded forms. The steering wheel is the sole element that feels overtly sporty. The trunk offers a generous 597 L of cargo space—enough for a family of four.
Performance
- Power: 1,035 hp
- 0–100 km/h: 2.5 s
- Top speed: 310 km/h
- Range: 530 km + (estimated)
The Luce is driven by four electric motors—one per wheel—powered by a 122 kWh battery pack.
Technology Highlights
- Over 60 new patents developed for the vehicle.
- Wheel‑by‑wheel torque vectoring that can control each wheel’s motion in every direction.
- Active suspension system derived from the Ferrari F80.
- New Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) that manages the powertrain and driving dynamics.
- Extensive use of Corning Gorilla Glass throughout the design.
Ferrari also engineered a bespoke sound system: a precision accelerometer at the axle captures the vibration of rotating components, and a patented algorithm filters, equalises, and amplifies the signal—similar to an electric guitar—only when it enhances the driving experience.
Pricing and Production Timeline
- Starting price: €550,000 (≈ $639,907) in Italy. U.S. pricing has not been announced.
- Production start: Late 2026
- Deliveries: Early 2027
