Third macOS Tahoe 26.4 Beta Now Available for Developers

Apple today provided the third beta of an upcoming macOS Tahoe 26.4 update to developers for testing purposes, a week after Apple seeded the second beta.

Developers can obtain the macOS Tahoe 26.4 update by opening System Settings, selecting General, and then choosing Software Update.

• Ensure Beta Updates are enabled.
• A free developer account is required.

New Features

• Charge Limit – Users can set a maximum charge level ranging from 80 % to 100 %.
• Compact Tab Layout – Safari’s compact tab bar returns for those who missed it in earlier versions of macOS Tahoe.

Rosetta End‑of‑Support Warning

Apple Silicon Macs running apps that still rely on Rosetta will see warnings about the upcoming end of Rosetta support. After macOS Tahoe 27, Apple will phase out Rosetta entirely, so all apps must be updated before that time.
