macOS 26.4 beta 3

With a one‑day delay compared to its counterparts, Apple is now rolling out the third developer beta of macOS 26.4. Here’s what to expect.

No revamped Siri, but welcome features nonetheless

With macOS 26.4 betas 1 and 2, Apple introduced a couple of quality‑of‑life improvements, including Charge Limit (which lets users set a charging cap between 80 % and 100 %) and the return of Safari’s compact tab layout.

macOS 26.4 also warns users each time they open a Rosetta‑based app that support will end in a future version. Apple has previously said its Apple Silicon–to–Intel translation layer will be discontinued by late 2027. With 26.4, the system now surfaces that warning as a pop‑up, likely to encourage developers to update their apps.

Apple has also been trying to fix the corner‑radius bug where the resize pointer does not follow the window’s corner shape. Initially listed as a fixed bug in macOS 26.3, the release notes were later updated to note it as a “known issue.”

The release build for today’s macOS 26.4 beta 3 is 25E5223i. We are digging through the code and will report back if we find more new features.
