Overview
DJI is on a roll with portable power. A portable power station is ideal for camping, powering a backyard projector, or handling power outages. They’re also useful for content creators who often work off‑grid.
The brand just launched the DJI Power 1000 Mini. It packs a respectable 1,000 Wh while its footprint is nearly half that of the original DJI Power 1000 and smaller than the DJI Power 1000 V2. Weighing about 25 lb, it’s truly ultra‑portable, with a max output of 1,000 W.

- SDC port – Allows DJI drone owners to fast‑charge drone batteries directly from the station.
- Low noise – In standard recharging mode the unit operates at about 30 dB, quiet enough to sleep near or record content without interruption.
How to buy the DJI Power 1000 Mini in the U.S.
As of last December, the FCC voted to prohibit DJI from obtaining authorization to market and sell new products in the United States. Existing DJI products that were already authorized are exempt, but the Power 1000 Mini falls under the new restriction. A DJI spokesperson told Mashable that an application has been submitted and the authorization is pending, so there’s currently no way to purchase the device in the U.S.
Pricing on DJI’s Canadian site lists the Power 1000 Mini at $467 USD. We’ll update this information once U.S. availability is confirmed.
