Slay the Spire 2 will launch in early access on Steam beginning March 5, 2026. Along with the teaser trailer, developer Mega Crit shared some details about its early‑access goals.

“Slay the Spire requires a lot of player feedback so we can balance content, add quality‑of‑life features, and make sure the game runs without issues. Early Access is also a chance for us to test experimental features, try exotic designs, identify niche problems, and help us make sure the game is headed in the right direction.”

New four‑player co‑op mode

• Supports up to four players.
• Includes unique cards exclusive to multiplayer.
• Features team‑wide synergies that encourage collaborative strategies.

Returning and new characters

• Several characters from the original Slay the Spire will return.
• Brand‑new characters are also being introduced, offering fresh deck‑building and strategy options.
