Overview

Amazon is adding a TikTok‑style vertical short‑form video feed to Prime Video, called Clips. The new feed appears on the mobile home page and offers quick, scrollable moments from movies, series, and other content.

Features

  • Launched initially as a preview for NBA highlights — see the original announcement here.
  • Now includes “moments from movies and series across the Prime Video experience,” essentially a vertical recommendation carousel.
  • Tapping a clip opens full‑screen mode, where you can swipe through additional vertical videos.
  • Each clip provides options to watch the full content, rent or buy it, add it to a watchlist, “like,” share, and more.

Availability

The Clips feature is rolling out now to “select customers” in the United States on iOS, Android, and Fire devices. Amazon plans to make it available to all users on those platforms this summer. In the meantime, you won’t need to rotate your phone to watch trailers.
