Nomad ChargeKey

Nomad is updating one of my favorite and most clutch tech accessories they make. They are expanding their ChargeKey lineup with a new Stellar Orange color to perfectly match the Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. The ChargeKey has been one of Nomad’s longest‑running products and remains a simple solution for carrying a reliable cable on your keychain that can do it all, from ultra‑high‑speed charging to professional‑level data transfer speeds. Here’s what you should know.
Core specifications
- Fast charging up to 240 W
- Data transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps (USB 3.1)
- Braided nylon cable
- Electroplated zinc cable housings
- Magnetic cable tips that snap together for storage
The ChargeKey can handle most charging needs with its 240 W output, and you can transfer large files from an SSD to a computer (or vice versa) without issues.

My experience
I have owned every version of the ChargeKey, including the old Lightning model. The biggest thing for me has always been its reliability—it has lived on my keychain for years. The original USB‑C version maxed out at 60 W (Lightning at 20 W). The newer version’s 240 W output and USB 3.1 speeds make it far more useful. I can now edit footage on the go with an SSD, and charge my iPad Pro or MacBook Pro at full speed without a hitch. It also pairs amazingly with Nomad’s slim wall chargers.
I’m a big fan of the new Stellar Orange color and how closely it matches the iPhone 17 Pro. The cable features a lighter orange nylon fabric, while the cable tips and keychain loop have a chrome‑orange accent, showing thoughtful material choices.

Pricing, availability & final thoughts
The new Stellar Orange ChargeKey is available today for $29 from Nomad’s website. The original black/grey color remains in stock, but if you have a Cosmic Orange iPhone, this is the perfect match. It will charge your iPhone at the full 40 W speed and transfer at up to 10 Gbps in any scenario. If you need an emergency cable that looks good—or a gift for someone with a new Cosmic Orange iPhone—this is worth considering.
