Motorola unveiled its new foldable smartphone, the Motorola Razr Fold, earlier this year at CES. With Mobile World Congress 2026 underway, the company has now released official details and specs for the device.

Power and Performance

The Razr Fold is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which will handle Motorola’s AI features (dubbed “moto ai”). It offers up to 1 TB of storage and 16 GB of RAM, positioning it as a true flagship device.

Battery

The phone is expected to house a 6000 mAh battery, one of the largest in the market. Motorola claims it can achieve 12 hours of usage after just 12 minutes of charging.

Display

  • External display: 6.6‑inch screen usable when the device is closed.
  • Internal display: 8.1‑inch screen when opened, larger than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
  • Thickness: 4.6 mm when open, 9.9 mm when closed.

Camera

The Razr Fold sports a triple‑camera setup, each sensor at 50 MP:

  • Sony Lytia 828 main camera
  • Sony Lytia 600 telephoto lens
  • 50 MP ultrawide‑angle lens

When the device is open, it adds a 32 MP internal selfie camera, and when closed, a 20 MP external selfie camera.

For comparison, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold has weaker cameras, and the upcoming rumored iPhone Fold will be a competitor. Samsung is also expected to release a new version of the Galaxy Z Fold later this year.

Launch and Pricing

Motorola has not announced a specific launch date, only stating that the Razr Fold will arrive in the coming months. Pricing details are limited to a European bundle that includes the phone and a Moto Pen Ultra stylus for €1,999.
