Overview
Google’s Gemini 3, launched last November, introduced Gemini Agent – an experimental feature that handles multi‑step tasks. Recent reports and strings from the latest beta suggest a major upgrade that would turn Gemini Agent into a “24/7 digital partner.”
APK Insight
In this “APK Insight” post, we’ve decompiled the latest version of an application that Google uploaded to the Play Store. When we decompile these files (called APKs, in the case of Android apps), we can see lines of code that hint at possible future features. Google may or may not ship these features, and our interpretation may be imperfect. We’ll try to enable those that are closer to being finished, however, to show you how they’ll look if they do ship.
Business Insider Report
Business Insider reported that Google employees are testing “Remy”, described as a “24/7 personal agent for work, school, and daily life, powered by Gemini.”
Internal Descriptions
- “It elevates the Gemini app into a true assistant that can take actions on your behalf — not just answer questions or generate content.”
- “Deeply integrated across Google, Remy can monitor for things that matter to you, handle complex tasks proactively, and learn your preferences over time.”

Google app version 17.20 entered the beta channel with new strings referencing a substantial upgrade to Gemini Agent (beyond the existing feature for Google AI Ultra subscribers).

Safety & Control
- Experimental nature: The feature can make mistakes and unintentionally expose data. Users should be clear with requests, supervise actions via the dashboard, and avoid using it for professional‑level legal, medical, or financial tasks.
- Personalization: Gemini Agent learns from interactions, tasks, personal context, and uploaded files. Users can manage and delete activity in Gemini Apps Activity.
- Data management: Gemini stores browser and cookie data (login credentials, browsing history). Users can clear this data, disable Personal Intelligence and Connected Apps, and adjust personal context settings.
Interface
Interaction remains conversation‑based, with a dedicated section likely appearing in the Gemini navigation drawer. Tasks are organized into categories:
- Completed tasks – pin, rename, continue later.
- In‑progress tasks – pin, rename, continue later.
- Tasks requiring input – pin, rename, continue later.
- Scheduled tasks – pin, rename, continue later.
