Apple Seeds First Betas of iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 to Developers

Overview

Apple today seeded the first betas of the upcoming iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 updates to developers for testing purposes. The releases arrive less than a week after Apple launched iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3.

How to Download the Beta

Registered developers can download the betas directly from the Settings app on an iPhone or iPad:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to General → Software Update.
3. Follow the prompts to install the beta version.

Siri Updates

Siri, first introduced at WWDC 2024, may face delays that could push some or all of its new features to iOS 26.5 or iOS 27. Nonetheless, developers can still expect a handful of enhancements, including:

• Tools for generating images.
• Improved web‑search capabilities.

New Emoji

The beta also adds several new emoji characters, such as:

• Trombone 🎺
• Treasure chest 🧰
• Orca 🐋
• Landslide 🌋
• Bigfoot 🦧
