tvOS 26.4, watchOS 26.4, and more get beta 2 updates
Apple kicked off a new beta software cycle recently, and today beta 2 has arrived.
tvOS 26.4, visionOS 26.4, watchOS 26.4, and HomePod 26.4 have all just received beta 2 updates.
Currently only developers can install beta 2, but the public betas should follow in the next day or so.
The first betas brought a few noteworthy changes:
- tvOS 26.4 officially removes the TV Shows and Movies iTunes apps from Apple TV.
- tvOS 26.4 beta 1 also introduced a new HDMI setting: “Continuous Audio Connection”.
- visionOS 26.4 unlocks a new “foveated streaming” power for apps and games.

So far in watchOS 26.4, the only noticeable changes have been some tweaked animations. New features may still arrive in forthcoming updates.
For example, code from iOS 26.4 beta 1 indicated Apple plans to add new emoji to the system keyboard with the 26.4 cycle, so today’s watchOS 26.4 beta 2 may add those.
Otherwise, we’ll keep you posted on any noteworthy changes and new features found in today’s updates.
