Following the first iOS 26.4 preview, Apple Music 5.2 entered beta earlier this week with three new features.
Playlist Playground
Playlist Playground leverages generative AI to “create a new playlist with just an idea in seconds.” You can access it from the top‑right corner of the Library tab.

The top half of the new interface can be used to create a playlist without AI. The bottom sheet lets you enter a prompt, with Apple Music offering New Playlist Ideas and Suggested Songs.
Albums and Playlists Redesign
Apple Music now displays a full‑page artwork background that extends behind the track list and suggested content, giving the music “a life‑like” feel.
- The Play button is centered.
- Shuffle is now a circular icon on the left (no longer a pill).
- Download appears on the right side.
- A Share menu is positioned in the corner, improving one‑handed usage.
Artist Page Updates
Artist pages may now show an Upcoming Concerts badge at the top. Scrolling down reveals an All Upcoming Concerts section below the Top Videos carousel.
