Apple partners with IMAIX for live Formula 1 screenings
Apple is partnering with IMAX to broadcast five live Formula 1 races from the 2026 season in select IMAX theaters across the United States. The scheduled events are:
- Miami Grand Prix – May 3
- Monaco Grand Prix – June 7
- British Grand Prix – July 5
- Italian Grand Prix – September 6
- United States Grand Prix – October 25
Apple secured a five‑year deal for U.S. broadcast rights to Formula 1 last fall and already operates a dedicated Formula 1 channel on Apple TV. The company also holds the rights to a feature film about the sport, which earned over $630 million worldwide and included some IMAX screenings.
It remains unclear whether IMAX will continue to host additional live Formula 1 races in future years, but the partnership offers fans an immersive viewing experience that approaches the excitement of attending the racetrack in person.
