Apple, macOS Tahoe 26.4 첫 공개 베타 출시

Apple today provided public beta testers with the first release of an upcoming macOS Tahoe 26.4 update for testing purposes. The public beta arrives a day after Apple supplied the same build to developers.

After signing up for beta testing on Apple’s beta site, public beta testers can download the update via System Settings → Software Update.

New Features in macOS Tahoe 26.4

• Compact tab layout – Re‑implemented in Safari, restoring the option that was missing in earlier versions of macOS Tahoe. Details are available in the compact tab bar article.
• Charge Limit – Allows Mac users to set a maximum charge level ranging from 80 % to 100 %.
• Rosetta 2 warnings – Apple silicon Macs now display warnings for apps still relying on Rosetta 2, as Apple plans to phase out Rosetta after macOS 27.
• Intel support ending – macOS Tahoe is the final macOS version that will run on Intel‑based Macs; Apple is removing remaining Intel‑specific features.

Outlook

Additional features may appear in future builds of macOS Tahoe 26.4, such as new emoji characters. Apple is expected to continue testing the update over the next several weeks, with a public launch slated for spring.
