YouTube’s mobile app finally lets you share timestamped videos

YouTube is making changes that affect how you share videos from the mobile app. You can now share a video from a specific timestamp, making it easier to point someone to the exact part you want them to see while on your phone.

However, this new feature replaces the Clips feature that let you create a shareable clip from a video. You’ll still be able to watch any Clips you’ve already made, but moving forward:

  • The ability to set an end time when sharing will no longer be available.
  • Including a custom description with a shared clip will also be removed.
