Would any of the reported MacBook compromises be a deal-breaker for you? [Poll]
Source: 9to5Mac

Background
Apple needs a way to differentiate the upcoming low‑cost MacBook from the more expensive MacBook Air. One idea is to use color to limit cannibalization, but rumors suggest the new machine may come with several compromises.
9to5Mac readers aren’t the primary target market for an entry‑level machine, but some might consider it as a second Mac, while others could recommend it to family and friends. The question is: would any of the rumored compromises be a deal‑breaker for you?
Previous MacBook Air vs. A18 Pro
The first Apple Silicon MacBook Air used the M1 chip and was praised for its blend of performance and power efficiency. The upcoming A18 Pro chip is reportedly very similar to the M1, as benchmark data shows. Even six years later, the original MacBook Air remains a very capable device.
Unverified Report and Potential Compromises
A report released earlier this week claims the new MacBook will have a number of arguably significant compromises. The source is unproven, so the suggested specifications may or may not be accurate. If the listed limits turn out to be real, would you consider any of them unacceptable—especially on a machine expected to list around $700 and likely sell for less through retailers?
If all of the compromises are accurate, you might dismiss the machine outright. More interestingly, is there any single item on the list that would be a deal‑breaker for you? In other words, if that were the only compromise, would you still avoid the machine?
