TL;DR

  • The Trump Phone’s tentative final design has been revealed, and it looks unlike any previous version.
  • The phone was teased by Trump Mobile executives in a recent interview.
  • The phone supposedly comes with upgraded specs compared to those previously announced, though we’ll believe it when we see the phone.

The Trump Phone has been an enigma, wrapped in mystery and dragged out for way too long. Over time, both the design and the handset details have changed, as have its marketing claims—from “made in America” to “made for America.” A recent glimpse shows what the phone could look in reality, along with some specification details.

Design and specifications

Don Hendrickson and Eric Thomas, executives at Trump Mobile, were interviewed by The Verge — see the full interview here. They confirmed that the final device differs from earlier plans and includes several upgrades, which may affect pricing.

  • Camera system: The phone appears to have three rear cameras. Both the primary rear sensor and the selfie sensor are 50 MP. The additional rear cameras are likely ultrawide and telephoto, based on the Camera app UI shown by The Verge.
  • Design cues: The back panel is curved, reminiscent of the Motorola Edge and Edge Plus (2022). The golden finish and American flag remain, but the large “T1” logo will be removed.

  • Display: While the screen isn’t visible in the images, the device is reported to feature a “waterfall” design, suggesting a tiny notch rather than a punch‑hole. The display size is expected to be around 6.78 inches, matching early specifications on the Trump Mobile website, rather than the later‑cited 6.25 inches.
  • Performance: Powered by a Snapdragon 7‑series chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery.
  • Storage: 512 GB of internal storage (up from the previously promised 256 GB) with support for external SD cards up to 1 TB.

Pricing and availability

  • Early backers who paid a $100 reservation fee will owe a total of $499.
  • New buyers will pay an undisclosed amount “less than $1,000.”
  • The phone has received FCC certification and is expected to obtain T‑Mobile certification by mid‑March.

Future plans

Trump Mobile is still developing a more premium variant, the “T1 Ultra,” though no concrete updates have been released yet. Details are expected to be added to the Trump Mobile website soon.
