Overview

The new dedicated Formula 1 channel has appeared in the Apple TV app as of today. U.S. users can now see a Formula 1 item in the sidebar alongside Apple TV originals and MLS tabs. This channel will stream all races, beginning with the Melbourne Grand Prix on March 8.

Note: F1 is now included in the base Apple TV subscription in the United States ($12.99 / month or $99 / year). Learn more.

Availability

  • Living‑room apps: Find the Formula 1 section in the sidebar.
  • tv.apple.com: Access it via a quick link in the header.
  • iPhone: Use the F1 channel shortcut in the Search tab.

Content and Features

  • Quick links to previous and upcoming race sessions.
  • Supplementary content such as historic race clips from Albert Park to build excitement for the March 8 Grand Prix.
  • Upcoming weekend schedule, including practice, qualifying, and Grand Prix times for the season kickoff.

Apple TV app users can watch all practice sessions for free throughout the season. Some race weekends (still unannounced) will also be available entirely free of the Apple TV paywall.

Subscription and Access

    • Carrier bundle promotions or other offers.

An Apple TV subscription also grants access to the F1.TV premium package at no extra charge, available through the F1.TV app and website. Learn how to link your accounts.

Future Plans

More Apple‑specific F1 production enhancements are expected in the coming weeks ahead of the first race. This launch marks the start of a five‑year partnership between Apple and Formula 1 in the United States, and Apple may pursue similar broadcast deals in other regions worldwide.
