Samsung Unpacked 2026 Event

Samsung is set to launch its first new devices of 2026 at an Unpacked event in San Francisco. The keynote begins at 10 AM PT (1 PM ET) and will be livestreamed on YouTube. The February 10 announcement said this launch will mark “a new phase in the era of AI as intelligence becomes truly personal and adaptive.”

What are we expecting?

  • Design: Leaked images suggest the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra will retain a design similar to the Galaxy S25 rather than a radical redesign.
  • Processor: Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip is expected in all Galaxy S26 phones. Yonhap News reports that Samsung’s newer Exynos 2600 could appear in some regions.
  • Wireless charging: Despite the Qi 2 standard’s magnetic alignment feature, Samsung has not yet added built‑in magnets to its phones. Rumors indicate higher‑speed wireless charging will be supported, but magnetic charging will rely on cases (MagSafe‑style).

Overall, the event may be relatively mild, especially after the earlier hype surrounding the Galaxy TriFold.
