Last month, Apple TV announced that Ted Lasso season 4 would premiere this summer. But now, star Hannah Waddingham has let slip exactly when it’s coming.

Three years after Ted Lasso season 3 wrapped up, Apple is preparing to bring back one of its biggest hits ever for a new season.

Ted Lasso season 4 will feature Jason Sudeikis’ titular character coaching a new women’s team, which star Hannah Waddingham calls “our Lady Greyhounds.”

Speaking to Deadline’s Baz Bamigboye, Waddingham let slip the plan for the season’s release date. After being asked when to expect the premiere, she replied:

“August, I think. Am I allowed to say August? August!… I think it’s August.”

Ted Lasso’s first season premiered in August 2020, season 2 in July 2021, and season 3 in March 2023.

The August release means Ted Lasso should land on Apple TV shortly after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, which takes place in July and is being co‑hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
