OpenAI is on track to report 1 billion weekly active ChatGPT users. The company now claims 900 million weekly active users, a 350 % increase over the past 18 months.

More than 5 % of weekly active users are paid consumer subscribers, bringing the total to over 50 million. Subscriber momentum accelerated significantly at the start of the year, with January and February projected to be the largest months for new subscribers in OpenAI’s history.
