T‑Mobile announced a new live‑translation feature that translates phone conversations in real time. The service is free and currently available in a beta program.

How It Works

• No apps required – the translation is built into the T‑Mobile network.
• Device‑agnostic – works with any phone on T‑Mobile, from iPhones to flip phones, and even when calling landlines (only one party needs to be on T‑Mobile).
• Language support – supports more than 50 languages, detecting speakers and translating “almost instantly.”

Getting Started

1. Sign up for the beta on the T‑Mobile website (limited spots).
2. During a call, press *87* on the keypad to activate live translation.

Availability
