Overview
T‑Mobile’s T‑Satellite service, which uses Starlink satellite connectivity, is now available for T‑Mobile customers traveling in Canada and New Zealand.
Availability
- Canada: Satellite coverage is provided through Rogers Satellite.
- New Zealand: Satellite coverage is provided through One NZ.
Both Rogers and One NZ have agreements with SpaceX, the operator of the Starlink network. Rogers and One NZ customers can also use T‑Satellite when traveling in the United States as part of the new partnership.
Compatibility
- Launched in July 2025 after several months of beta testing.
- Compatible with iPhone 13 and later models.
- In October 2025, T‑Mobile added support for using satellite data with select third‑party apps—an option not available with Apple’s built‑in satellite feature on iPhone 14 and later.
T‑Satellite activates when no Wi‑Fi or cellular connection is available. An open view of the sky is required, but users do not need to manually hold the iPhone to the sky as with Apple’s implementation.
Pricing
- Satellite service is included in T‑Mobile’s Experience Beyond plans.
- For other T‑Mobile plans, the service is priced at $10 per line.
Partnerships
T‑Mobile is working with global roaming partners and SpaceX to expand T‑Satellite coverage to additional locations in the future.
