Spotify debuts a new UI just for tablets

New Tablet UI Features

• Adaptive orientation – the interface now switches between portrait and landscape layouts instead of merely resizing when the device is rotated.
• Collapsible sidebar – gives listeners more screen space for music videos or podcasts.
• Parallel browsing – you can continue scrolling through the app while a video or lyrics play in the sidebar.
• Prominent “switch to video” toggle – makes it easier to switch from audio‑only to video mode.

The redesign, which was tested earlier this year, is now rolling out to both iPad and Android tablets.
