Overview
If the co‑op alien‑blasting action of the 2021 Aliens: Fireteam Elite was your cup of tea, good news: a sequel is on the way. Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 expands the player cap to four and adds new classes and weapons.
The shooter’s announcement describes the core experience: “Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers.” This mirrors the first game’s premise while promising fresh content.
New Features
- Larger squad: Up to four players can team up, up from three in the original.
- New Specialist class: A build‑your‑own class that adds versatility.
- Expanded arsenal: A wider selection of weapons usable across all classes.
- Deeper squad mechanics: Enhanced coordination tools for teams.
- Additional threats: Pathogens and Weyland‑Yutani combat synthetics introduce new obstacles.
- Immersive environments: New locations across the Aliens universe, timed with the 40th anniversary of James Cameron’s 1986 film this July.
The upcoming anniversary also coincides with the recent release of the first Alien: Isolation sequel teaser.
