Additional NFC Antenna
The conversation around Samsung’s latest flagship series often focuses on how similar the devices are to their predecessors—a complaint that has echoed through the last few generations. However, the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra all include a new NFC antenna built into the top of the phone, as spotted by SamMobile.
This extra antenna works alongside the traditional NFC antenna on the back of the device, improving the range at which tap‑to‑pay and other NFC‑based transactions can activate. The result should be less time waving your phone in front of a terminal, and quicker, more accurate transfers between devices—especially when trading S26 to S26.
While this is a relatively small change, it demonstrates Samsung’s continued effort to find incremental hardware improvements each generation.
