Design and Features
Samsung’s previous Galaxy Buds 3 series used triangular stems, but the new Buds 4 lineup switches to flat, metal stems. The Buds 4 Pro retains silicone tips, whereas the standard Buds 4 adopts an open‑fit design.
Charging case
The case now has a horizontal, “bed‑style” layout with a transparent lid, similar to Nothing’s audio products rather than Apple’s AirPods.
Gesture controls
All models support swipe, pinch, and tap gestures, with an engraved area on the stem to indicate the swipe zone.
- Galaxy Buds 4: swipe, pinch, tap, and voice control (e.g., “volume up”, “pause music”).
- Galaxy Buds 4 Pro: adds head‑gesture controls—nod “yes” to answer calls, shake “no” to decline—compatible with Bixby.
Additional software features
- Interpreter Mode for voice translation (up to 22 languages).
- AI chatbot access without unlocking the phone.
- Seamless Samsung device connectivity (no Google Fast Pair support).
Audio specifications
- 24‑bit/96 kHz playback (same as the Buds 3 series).
- HD Voice support for clearer calls (requires compatible devices and carriers).
- No LDAC codec support.
