My Past Attempts

  • DIY setup (Feb 2024) – Two wireless pads + a Pixel Watch dock. Build quality was mediocre and the whole thing felt “no‑name.”
  • Google’s official solution (Mar 2026) – Requires a USB‑C charger instead of wireless, which isn’t convenient.

Belkin’s First Pixel‑Watch‑Compatible Dock (CES 2026)

  • First impression: Solid, and it’s only gotten better in my home.
  • Design:
    • Qi 2 25 W wireless pad on top.
    • Second wireless pad underneath for earbuds.
    • Pop‑out shelf at the back for the smartwatch charging puck.
  • Included inserts: Apple Watch, Pixel Watch 1, Pixel Watch 2/3, and select Galaxy Watch models (including the latest generations).

Note: No support for Pixel Watch 4.

Real‑World Use (Wife’s Nightstand)

  • Setup hiccup: The watch shelf didn’t fully extend, causing intermittent charging. A slight pull‑out fixed it.
  • Everyday experience:
    • Keeps the nightstand tidy.
    • Qi 2 pad charges the Pixel 10 Pro quickly.
    • Base is light enough to lift the phone without moving the whole dock.
    • Earbud pad is a bit small for Pixel Buds but works.

The Pixel Watch 4 Dilemma

I can’t use this dock with my Pixel Watch 4, and that’s not Belkin’s fault. The dock was designed before Google announced a new charger design, and Google has already changed the standard three times in four generations.

  • Google’s progress: The Pixel Watch 4 charger improvements are solid (see my review).
  • But… Constantly changing the charger kills third‑party accessories and makes life harder for partners like Belkin.

Apple has stuck with the same charger for nearly a decade; Google has already cycled through three. Please, just pick a standard.

Bottom Line

The Belkin Modular Charging Dock is available now for $64.99 in “Sand” (pictured) and black. If you own a Pixel Watch 1, 2, or 3, it’s definitely worth considering.

For Pixel Watch 4 owners, the only alternative is a less‑elegant solution (Mous charger).

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
