Oprah brings her podcast to Amazon's streaming services

Amazon has signed a multiyear licensing deal with Oprah Winfrey to bring her podcast to the company’s streaming ecosystem. Starting in July, new episodes will be released twice a week and will be available on Prime Video, Amazon Music, Fire TV channels, and Audible, while still being distributed on YouTube and other podcast platforms.

• The show will keep the same format Winfrey has used on YouTube since launching her podcast channel at the end of 2024.

Amazon’s Podcast Structure

• Creator Services: A new division that handles celebrity‑hosted podcasts, promoting titles such as New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce and Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard across Amazon properties (as reported by The New York Times).
• Integration: Oprah’s Book Club will be linked to Audible, Kindle, Goodreads, and the Amazon storefront. Products from the annual Oprah’s Favorite Things holiday list will also be highlighted, with sales and ad revenue split between Winfrey and Amazon.
