Oppo’s Bubble is a thin round screen for taking rear camera selfies
Source: The Verge
Overview
Oppo has introduced a new smartphone accessory called the Bubble, designed to make it easier to take selfies with a phone’s rear camera. Rear cameras typically have better sensors than front‑facing cameras, so the Bubble lets users benefit from higher‑quality images while still being able to frame the shot.
Features
- Live preview screen – Provides a real‑time view of what the rear camera sees, allowing precise composition.
- Remote controls – Includes a shutter button and other camera controls that can be operated without touching the phone.
- Thin, round design – The Bubble is slimmer than comparable accessories such as the Insta360 Snap.
- Wireless connectivity – Works up to nearly 33 feet (≈10 m) away from the phone.
- Limited compatibility – Currently supports only a subset of Oppo devices.
Availability and Pricing
- Region: China
- Price: 499 yuan (approximately $73)
Oppo has not yet announced whether the Bubble will be sold outside of China or at different price points.
