Expanded AirDrop Compatibility

When Google announced AirDrop compatibility for its Pixel 10 phones late last year, many expected Apple to shut it down quickly. Instead, the feature remains functional and has now been extended to the Pixel 9 series (excluding the budget‑oriented Pixel 9 A).

Owners of (almost all) Pixel 9 phones can send and receive files more easily with Apple devices. Files sent from a Pixel to an iPhone, Mac, or iPad appear as AirDrop transfers, while on the Android side they are handled through Quick Share. The receiving Apple device needs to be…
