Pokémon Presents on February 27
Pokémon Day is always a big deal for Nintendo fans, and this year marks the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The next Pokémon Presents stream is scheduled for February 27 at 9 AM ET. With Pokémon Legends: Z‑A already released and Pokémon Pokopia on the horizon, the presentation is expected to reveal details about the next mainline game. There’s also the possibility of updates on Pokémon Champions and other spin‑offs such as Pokémon Unite, TCG Pocket, and Pokémon Sleep.
FireRed and LeafGreen Coming to Nintendo Switch
Nintendo announced that Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen—originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2004—will be available on the Nintendo Switch family via the eShop next week (they will not be part of the Switch Online subscription). The rereleases appear to be faithful ports without significant changes. They will be purchasable as soon as the Pokémon Presents stream concludes, with a suggested retail price of $19.99 and availability at select retailers during launch week.
