TL;DR
- A content creator has obtained a retail version of the Galaxy S26 Ultra ahead of its launch.
- They shared several photos taken with the device on social media.
- They also included a few comparison shots between the S26 Ultra and S25 Ultra.
Early Access to the Galaxy S26 Ultra
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S26 series at Galaxy Unpacked this week. Although the launch is still days away, some retail units are already reaching hands. Indian content creator Sahil Karoul managed to get a unit and posted sample images on X (formerly Twitter).
In his post, Karoul shared several photos taken with the Galaxy S26 Ultra:
- A shot of produce in a grocery store.
- A picture of yellow flowers.
- A portrait of a person.
He did not specify which camera module was used for each shot.
Comparison with the Galaxy S25 Ultra
Karoul also posted side‑by‑side comparison images:
- A portrait taken with both the S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra.
- A night‑time shot of a building captured with both devices.
The S26 Ultra is expected to retain the same camera hardware as the S25 Ultra, but leaks suggest the rear lenses will have wider apertures, allowing more light:
- 200 MP main sensor: potentially f/1.4 (vs. f/1.7).
- 5× telephoto sensor: potentially f/2.9 (vs. f/3.4).
Initial Impressions
While these images don’t constitute definitive proof of superior performance, the side‑by‑side examples appear slightly brighter and sharper on the S26 Ultra compared to the S25 Ultra.
