Nintendo is raising the price of its Switch 2 console globally “in light of changes in market conditions,” and is now forecasting a drop in sales over the next year.
- United States: Effective September 1, the Switch 2 will cost $499.99, up from $449.99.
- Canada: The price will increase by $50 to $679.99 (from $629.99).
- Europe: The price will rise by €40 to €499.99 (about $587).
- Japan: The increase takes effect earlier, on May 25. The Switch 2 will go from ¥49,980 (≈ $318) to ¥59,980 (≈ $382), with similar hikes applied to other Switch products.
