Here’s what to expect from the first touchscreen Mac, per report

Mark Gurman’s latest Bloomberg report reveals that the upcoming M6 MacBook Pro will feature an OLED touchscreen and bring the iPhone’s Dynamic Island to macOS.

• The Dynamic Island will be built around a hole‑punch‑sized cutout for the camera, smaller than the current pill‑shaped notch on iPhones.
• macOS will gain a refreshed, dynamic UI that can shift between touch‑optimized and point‑and‑click modes.
• When a user touches a button or control, a new menu will appear around the finger, offering context‑relevant options.
• The system will display the most appropriate set of controls based on prior interaction, and tapping an item in the menu bar will enlarge its controls for easier finger selection.
• Standard iOS/iPadOS features such as fast scrolling, pinch‑to‑zoom for images and PDFs, and a touch‑optimized emoji picker will be supported.

The report emphasizes that the Mac won’t become “touch‑first”; touch will simply complement the primary input methods of keyboard and trackpad.
