If you follow Apple closely, it’s been a very busy week for iPhone Fold rumors.

Previous reports this week said the foldable might be delayed by several months, then a more reputable report countered that a September launch is still planned. We also got to see dummy models side‑by‑side with iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, plus a follow‑up video. There was also a claim that the foldable will be called “iPhone Ultra.”

Now to close out the week, three more foldable iPhone‑related posts have arrived from reputable Weibo leakers.

Instant Digital

  • Corroborated the prior claim of “Ultra” naming for the foldable. In a new post, he lists three model names: iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Ultra. The latter refers to the foldable.
  • While we’re still several months away from the fall launch, having two notable leakers support the “iPhone Ultra” branding makes it a likely direction for Apple.

Fixed Focus Digital

  • Release timing – In a post (link), he adds weight to the Bloomberg claim that the foldable is “on track” for a September launch. His translated post reads:

It’s definitely coming out this year… Production lines are already in the final stages of processing.
The most likely scenario is that it will be launched alongside the iPhone 18 series. Even if there’s a delay, it will only be a one‑month postponement.

  • Supply outlook – He also says Apple has increased foldable‑display inventory by 20 %, with an initial stock of 11 million units (source). This counters an earlier report that the company was being very conservative with launch supply.
