My PC melted while making this game...

Background
I’ve been watching a lot of MoistCr1TiKaL Gaming and Jacksepticeye videos lately. Seeing them play games that look like student projects inspired me to try game development myself. After watching the Potrick Snap horror SpongeBob game, I thought, “If that can get some love, I can create something people will enjoy too.”
My game idea is a typing game set during a war between two nations. The player relays communications between the frontline and HQ, occasionally hacking enemy comms to extract classified data. It’s time‑based and requires fast typing. I downloaded Unity and purchased some assets from the Asset Store, even though I hadn’t used Unity before. To keep things manageable, I decided the game would take place in a single location.
The Issue
When I loaded the assets into Unity, the editor—already slow on a blank project—completely melted down. Everything halted, and I couldn’t provide any input. It became clear that my PC couldn’t handle the workload.
A Temporary Solution
I still wanted to showcase the concept, so I built a simple web app. It’s just a static screen for now, lacking most of the planned features, but it lets me share a prototype while I save up for a better PC and try to build an audience.
Work‑In‑Progress Demo
You can try the early version of the game here: Comms Under Fire
Please note that this is a work‑in‑progress and may look like a dumpster fire. Feedback is welcome!
