Motorola MA1 was the first wireless Android Auto adapter approved by Google and has been a solid option for users. It originally launched for $90, but after numerous price cuts over the past few years it is now available for around $40 on Amazon:
New MA2 features
A new version of the adapter, Motorola MA2, hit the FCC recently with two main changes:
- Removal of the built‑in cable – replaced with a USB‑C port.
- Physical switch on the side and a full hardware redesign.
The device is now official. Android Authority spotted the Motorola MA2 on the sidelines of MWC 2026, with Motorola indicating:
- A launch in May for some regions.
- A U.S. launch in Q3 2026.
- An expected retail price of around $40, matching the lowered price of the MA1.
