New DLC Adds Cyclops and The Thing
The all‑star cast of Marvel Cosmic Invasion is expanding with Cyclops and The Thing, who join the fight against Annihilus. Tribute Games has released the first DLC for the retro‑inspired side‑scrolling beat‑em‑up, now available on all platforms for $3.99.

Gameplay Changes
- The Thing – Takes on a tank‑heavy, grappling‑focused playstyle. While he delivers powerful blows, he also retains decent mobility, including a bounce mechanic that lets him traverse the map quickly.
- Cyclops – Provides long‑range firepower with his optic blast. The kinetic beams can be aimed diagonally, allowing players to hit airborne foes or surprise enemies from unexpected angles.
Tag‑Team System and Existing Roster
The new characters integrate with Marvel Cosmic Invasion’s tag‑team system, enabling fresh link‑up combos. Players can now pair The Thing and Cyclops with teammates such as Captain America, Spider‑Man, Phoenix, and others.
Since its release in December, the 2D adventure has earned a Very Positive rating on Steam.
Future Plans
Tribute Games is already working on a second DLC slated for release in the fall. The upcoming update will introduce a new game mode and additional playable characters, further expanding the Marvel roster.
