The public beta is macOS 26.4 beta 1, identical to the developer beta released the day before. It introduces four main changes so far:

Battery Charge Limit – Now available on Mac. Like the iOS option, it lets you set the maximum charge to anywhere between 80 % and 100 % Read more.
Compact tab bar – Returned to System Settings for Safari users. It was removed in the first version of macOS Tahoe Read more.
Rosetta‑2 warning pop‑ups – Notify users when a Rosetta app is launched, reminding them that such apps will no longer be supported in macOS 27. Apple confirmed that macOS 26 is the last release for Intel Macs Read more.
Corner‑radius bug fix – The issue introduced in Tahoe, where the window‑resize pointer didn’t follow the window’s corner shape, is now resolved.
