Overview
Lenovo has just opened up sales of its new Legion Tab (Gen 5) in the US, with the compact Android gaming tablet costing a whopping $849.
Announced earlier this year, the Legion Tab (Gen 5) is the latest iteration of Lenovo’s gaming‑focused compact Android tablet. The slate features an 8.8‑inch IPS display that runs at 165 Hz with a 3040 × 1904 resolution. Under the hood sits a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage, and ships with Android 16. The battery capacity has also been boosted to 9,000 mAh, a significant upgrade over the previous generation.
Pricing and Availability
The Legion Tab (Gen 5) is priced at $849 in the US—a $300 increase over the prior generation. The price hike is largely attributed to the soaring cost of RAM. The tablet is currently available only in “Eclipse Black,” with the “Surge” green and white color options absent.
Still, if you’re looking for a powerful but compact Android tablet, this is your best bet. Will you get one?
